Hi there! My name is Genesis. My pronouns are she/her.
I am creative, learner-focused instructional designer with over 5 years of experience designing in end-to-end production of instructor-led, virtual-instructor led and eLearning course content and instructional materials.
After earning my master’s degree in education from UCLA, I worked as an educator for a few years, and I found myself developing a passion for eLearning. I currently design inclusive learning opportunities to address gaps and achieve learning objectives with high engagement using interactive scenarios.
Implementing social justice in instructional design is a journey of learning and self-reflection. In my learning journey, I have embraced the values of equity, diversity and inclusion as a source of strength. I work towards seeking new ways of broadening access to the transformative power of education and information.
My deep interest in effective learning, diversity, and accessibility shape my approach to learning design.
In my spare time, you can likely find me hiking with friends, reading books, and spending some time playing sports like soccer and boxing.
